Would you like to have nightmares?
Take a look at The Garbage Pail Kids Movie stills I recently took.
And don’t watch the movie
or you will never sleep again.
Pretty good episode of Parks & Recreation last week.
Favorite clip above.
UPDATE: the Community episode was way better.

I don’t know how I feel about this.
It’s one of those books that a lot of people my age read in high school.
I always had mixed feelings about the ending but it was still very important to me, growing up.
It was the first thing we read (and the only one we finished) at the book club I started when I was 16.
It’s no Catcher in the Rye, but I still hope they do it justice.
This was the view from the Brooklyn Heights Promenade today (a barely visible Brooklyn Bridge at the end there).
Foggy and cool and beautifully gray.
A photo would have been enough but I wanted to record the noise from the highway below. I always find that area so relaxing (I’ve spent hours reading on those benches when I lived in the area and in the years since) but I always forget how...
My friend and I Love Bad Movies contributor Jay Stern is trying to make a movie (a good one!) with the help of Kickstarter.
The project has less than 2 days left and and about $4,400 to go. If you can spare a couple $ to help him out, I know it will be worth your while.
Watch the inspiration trailer here and contribute here.
Let’s make this happen!

The best of men's shoes.
POLYVORE
Tried to find some interesting shoes for Matt online today and I gotta tell you: contemporary men’s shoes are boring. And expensive. Very few color options, odd shapes, and very few subtle but interesting details (stitching, basketweave, contrasting fabrics, etc).
Above are the best I could find but most of them are overpriced and my favorites ended up somewhat redundant. Bummer.
Just listened to a handful of newly discovered bad movie podcasts (there are a lot of them!) and surprisingly/sadly didn’t enjoy any of them. Too many of them are shrill, cynical, sexist or obvious (say something new!).
Bummer.
Flophouse forever.
